Why Some Children Can’t Access Skills They Already Have
A child can know exactly what to do… and still be unable to do it in that moment. They may know how to transition. They may understand expectations. They may have completed the same task yesterday. Why Behavior Is Not the Starting Point
When children are referred for support, the referral often begins with a behavioral concern. A child is struggling to follow directions. Another student is leaving the area, shutting down, melting down, refusing to work, or struggling to stay on task.
