Executive function is more dynamic than simply having or not having a skill. A child's ability to access and use executive function can be influenced by internal state, interoception, regulation, relationships, environment, task demands, communication, strengths, and available supports.
That changes the question.
Instead of only asking: “What executive function skill does this child need?” We can also ask:
“When is this skill more available, when is it less available, and what can those differences teach us?”

Do I need previous training in executive function?
No. The course begins with foundational concepts and progressively builds toward clinical and educational application. You do not need to be an executive function expert to participate.
Is this course only for occupational therapists?
No. Executive Function Express™ was designed for professionals across disciplines, including OTs, SLPs, PTs, educators, special educators, and other professionals who support children and youth.
Is the training neurodiversity-affirming?
Yes. The Executive Function Express™ uses a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach. The goal is not to make children appear more compliant or neurotypical, but to understand what influences their ability to access and develop skills and identify supports that help them succeed.
When will I receive access?
Access begins immediately after purchase. Executive Function Express™ Professional Training includes eight modules that are currently being released on a progressive schedule.
When you enroll, you’ll have immediate access to the Start Here materials and all modules that have been released to date. Additional modules will become available automatically as the training progresses, with the complete 6-hour training available after the final module is released.
Your 12 months of course access begins on the date you purchase, so you’ll have plenty of time to complete the training at your own pace and return to the videos and professional resources throughout the year.
How long is the training?
The complete professional training includes approximately 6 hours of instruction across 8 modules. It's self-paces so you can learn at your own pace.
Can I share my course access with colleagues?
Course registration provides access for one professional. Course access and materials may not be shared with other users. We do offer group discounts.
Can I access the course anytime and from anywhere?

Is this a certification program?
No. This is a professional training course in the Executive Function Express™ framework and approach. It is not currently an EFX certification program. However, we are working on developing a formal program for certification in the near future.
