How do I begin using EFX-AP™?
Start by reviewing the Professional User Manual to become familiar with the Executive Function Express™ framework, administration procedures, and interpretation guidance. When you're ready, select Start Assessment to complete your first EFX-AP™.
Do I need to read the entire Professional User Manual before using EFX-AP™?
No. The Professional User Manual is designed to be a working clinical resource. It supports every stage of the EFX-AP™ process, from understanding the framework and administering the assessment to interpreting results and developing meaningful intervention plans. Use it as an ongoing reference whenever you need guidance.
How long does the assessment take?
Most professionals complete the EFX-AP™ in approximately 15–25 minutes, depending on their familiarity with the child and the amount of observation available.
Who can use the EFX-AP™?
The EFX-AP™ was designed for licensed professionals and qualified practitioners who support children with executive function participation challenges. It is appropriate for use across healthcare, educational, and community settings as part of professional clinical reasoning and intervention planning.
Can I complete multiple assessments?
Yes. The EFX-AP™ may be used with multiple children and repeated over time to monitor changes in executive function participation and intervention outcomes. Once you purchase, it's yours to use as many times as you'd like.
Can I use the EFX-AP™ as a progress monitoring tool?
Yes. The EFX-AP™ may be repeated over time to examine changes in executive function participation and support intervention planning.
Does the EFX-AP™ save my previous assessments?
No. Each assessment is completed independently. Be sure to download and securely store each Executive Function Access Profile report for your records.
Is the EFX-AP™ appropriate for team collaboration?
Yes. The EFX-AP™ supports collaborative clinical reasoning among therapists, educators, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams. In fact, many educators complete the assessment as a group or in preparation for IEP and team meetings.
Is the EFX-AP™ a standardized assessment?
No. The EFX-AP™ is a participation-focused clinical assessment designed to support professional observation, clinical reasoning, and intervention planning. It is not intended to diagnose executive function disorders or provide standardized scores. Rather, it helps professionals better understand executive function participation and identify the factors that may be influencing executive function access.
