Are future updates to EFX-TB™ included?

Yes. Updates to the EFX-TB™ app are included with your access. As the app is refined and new features or improvements are released, you'll have access to the updated version without needing to purchase a new edition.

Because EFX-TB™ is web-based, updates happen within the app. There's nothing new for you to download or install.

 

Do I need to download or install EFX-TB™?

No. EFX-TB™ is a web-based app. Simply sign in from a supported device with an internet connection.

 

Can I use EFX-TB™ on more than one device?

Yes. You can sign in to your account from your supported computer, tablet, or mobile device, making it easy to move between treatment spaces, your office, home, or other work settings.

Is EFX-TB™ a one-time purchase or a subscription?

EFX-TB™ is currently available at a special Founding User price as a one-time purchase. Your purchase includes continued access to the app and all future app updates at no additional cost.

This Founding User offer is available for a limited time. Future pricing and access options may change as EFX-TB™ continues to grow.

ACCOUNTS & SHARING

Can I share my EFX-TB™ account with another therapist or colleague?

No. Individual EFX-TB™ access is licensed to one professional and should not be shared with colleagues, coworkers, or other users.

Each professional who uses EFX-TB™ needs their own licensed access.

Can I show EFX-TB™ to colleagues or use it during team discussions?

Absolutely. You can use the information you generate as part of your professional collaboration and treatment-planning process.

Your individual account and login, however, should not be shared with another user.

 

What if several professionals in my school, clinic, or organization want to use EFX-TB™?

If multiple professionals would like access, please contact the Executive Function Institute™ for information about multi-user or organizational access.

USING EFX-TB™

​

Can I use EFX-TB™ without completing the EFX-AP™ first?

Yes. The EFX-AP™ and EFX-TB™ work beautifully together, but you do not need to complete the EFX-AP™ before using the Treatment Builder.

 

You can begin EFX-TB™ with a real-world participation concern based on your observations, evaluation findings, clinical information, or other appropriate sources.

Does EFX-TB™ only provide accommodations?

No. EFX-TB™ helps you consider both supporting access and teaching skills.

 

Depending on the student's needs and the concern you're exploring, recommendations may include environmental supports, accommodations, teaching strategies, treatment activities, clinical observation ideas, goals, and progress-monitoring guidance.

Will every child receive the same recommendations for the same executive function concern?

No. EFX-TB™ is designed to consider the information you provide about the individual student, including strengths, interests, participation concerns, context, and factors that may be influencing executive function access.

The goal is not to match a difficulty with a generic strategy list. It is to help you think through what may be meaningful for the individual student.

 

Can I use EFX-TB™ for more than executive function?

EFX-TB™ is an executive function clinical reasoning and treatment-planning tool, but executive function does not occur in isolation. The app helps you consider relevant influences such as interoception, regulation, sensory experiences, environment, relationships, task demands, strengths, and participation when they are clinically relevant.

 

Can I change or customize what EFX-TB™ generates?

Yes. EFX-TB™ is designed to support your clinical reasoning, not dictate your treatment.

You can copy, edit, customize, or download generated information and use your professional judgment to determine what is appropriate for the individual student.

CASES, GOALS & PROGRESS

Does EFX-TB™ save my work?

Yes. Your student/client cases can be saved within EFX-TB™ so you can return to them and continue your clinical reasoning and treatment-planning process over time.

​

Can I return to the same student when a new concern comes up?

Yes. That's an important part of EFX-TB™.

Think of the case as the student's ongoing clinical workspace. You can explore a new concern without creating a duplicate student and maintain the student's evolving clinical story over time.

​

Can I track progress over time?

Yes. Progress Checks allow you to return to an existing goal and document what you're seeing over time.

You can use that information to consider whether the current plan is helping, whether supports need to change, and what your next clinical step may be.

​

Can I have more than one goal or treatment concern for a student?

Yes. A student's case can evolve as different concerns are explored and treatment needs change over time. Previous work remains associated with that student's case, helping you maintain continuity rather than starting over each time.

Is EFX-TB™ a medical record or documentation system?

No. EFX-TB™ is a clinical reasoning and treatment-planning tool. It is not intended to replace your facility's medical record, educational record, or required documentation system.

Should I enter identifying student information?

No. Use non-identifying information only.

Do not enter student/client names, dates of birth, school names, contact information, or other personally identifying information.

You remain responsible for following your employer, facility, professional, licensure, and applicable privacy requirements.

Can I copy EFX-TB™ information into my documentation?

Yes. EFX-TB™ allows you to copy information or download generated materials for editing and customization.

Always review and individualize information using your professional judgment before incorporating it into clinical or educational documentation.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Because EFX-TB™ is web-based, an internet connection is required to access and use the app.

What happens if I need help using EFX-TB™?

Support and getting-started information are available through the Executive Function Institute™. If you have difficulty accessing your account or have a question about using the app, you can contact us for assistance.

Will EFX-TB™ continue to grow?

Yes. EFX-TB™ was designed as an evolving clinical tool. We will continue refining the experience and developing improvements that help clinicians move more easily from observation and clinical reasoning to meaningful treatment.
