In this model, the child is the train.
The train travels across changing terrain; sometimes smooth, sometimes steep, sometimes unfamiliar.
Interoception is the station.
It provides the information the train needs to move forward, when to slow down, refuel, or adjust course.
Strengths are the fuel.
When we build from what motivates and engages the child, we increase energy, persistence, and success.
Supports are the structures.
Bridges, tunnels, and signals represent scaffolds, accommodations, and strategies that help the train navigate challenges.
